PUBLIC BUILDINGS
Public buildings place special demands on functionality, safety, and sustainability. From educational institutions and administrative buildings to community facilities, we develop technical concepts that combine operational reliability, energy efficiency, and long-term usability. The result: buildings that not only fulfill their purpose but also provide real added value to the community.

At the former site of Floridsdorf Hospital at Hinaysgasse 1 in Vienna’s 21st district, a new educational facility was constructed. The project combines a full-day middle school, a full-day primary school, a kindergarten, a music school, and a youth center. Some areas overlap in use, while the gymnasiums and hard-surface sports courts are also available for multipurpose use by external groups.
The infrastructure for electricity, data and telephone networks, as well as potable water and wastewater, was completely newly installed. Electrical supply is provided via a dedicated transformer station, with the central low-voltage main distribution serving the entire site. A photovoltaic (PV) system is being installed on the building’s roof in cooperation with WienEnergie, covering on-site electricity demand and feeding surplus energy into the grid. The main building and all auxiliary buildings in the courtyard are protected against overvoltage by grounding and lightning protection systems.
Our electrical services scope included, among others:
-
Installation of an elevator in each stairwell
-
Connection to utility supply and disposal networks
-
Installation of a transformer station for electrical supply
-
Installation of grounding and lightning protection systems
-
Installation of a photovoltaic system
The result: the new educational facility provides modern, flexible learning and recreational spaces that meet the diverse requirements of the schools, kindergarten, music school, and youth center. Comprehensive technical infrastructure, including energy supply, elevators, and a PV system, ensures an efficient and sustainable building for children, youth, and the wider community.
